Event Schedule

GVFD Board of directors will have a Budget workshop Monday, May 12th. The next regular scheduled Board Meeting will be Wednesday, May 28th at 9:00am.

GVFD Training Division

The GVFD training division is headed by Battalion Chief Scott Van Boerum. Chief Van Boerum handles all departmental training and also coordinates with other agencies to perform drills. BC Van Boerum, and other district personnel are instructors for Pima Community College and teach college accredited classes at the district's training center. Several of the classes being taught have IFSAC, a national accreditation, pending.  These classes are first available for all members of the GVFD and when space is still available, other fire and EMS agencies.

The District is hosted a Driver Operator Course that ran through October, 2007.
