#Green Valley Fire District has 13 Hazardous Materials Technicians and each of the 55 Firefighters trained as first responders for Hazardous Materials responses. The Fire District works in conjunction with the Northwest Fire District, Drexel Heights Fire District, and Golder Ranch Fire District to form the Pima Regional Hazardous Materials Team. This team is available to respond to hazardous material incidents in the southeast area of Arizona.  The regional team has over sixty trained hazardous material technicians and three vehicles equipped to respond to emergencies including:

  •  Explosives
  •  compressed gases
  •  flammable liquids and gasses
  •  poisonous or toxic substances
  •  radioactive materials
  •  flammable solids
